Welcome To The Alan Hale Tribute Website
Dedicated to actor, inventor and humanitarian Alan Hale.
This is dedicated to the man known for generations as 'The Skipper'(Jonas Grumby) on "Gilligan's Island." However, Alan's acting range went far beyond the island. Did you know he appeared on Broadway at age 10? Or that he was an inventor like his dad? Mr. Hale decided to drop the "junior" from his name many years after his dad died.
I developed this site because I've been a fan since I was about 5 years old, at least that's as far back as I can remember. When I was a year or so old, my folks bought me the "Gilligan's Island" tub toy but I don't remember playing with it until the age of 3-4. Around that time they had the "Gilligan's Island" cartoon and I always wondered why the tub toy came with only 3 of the 7 castaways! Imagine, a toddler knowing who the 7 castaways were! Skipper was always my favorite. Over the years I wanted to see more than just Alan's performance as the Skipper so this website is dedicated to his other roles. You will see VERY few screen shots of Alan as the Skipper. I will try to get a screen shot and/or photo from each one of Alan's performances, likeness or publicity appearances. I'm trying to make this a one-stop catalogue of Alan's images on the internet.
****NOTE!!! There are only so many pictures I could put up on this site so I included a section in my links to an online photo album with even more photos. You HAVE to check them out!
Most of the photos on this site can be enlarged if you click on them.
Hope you enjoy!
